Needs to be 8 pages total, 2 pages for each section, 805 words each, 3,220 words total (1 pages
each for intro and conclusion) [double spaced]
WHAT DID I FIND MOST IMPORTANT FOR EACH STRAND?
Literature difference between literatures then and now; what should appropriate literature include
Society in transition; successful person with disabilities, what does it mean to be a person with
disabilities (hearing loss AND cognitive disability)
Education ideal education for hearing loss and cognitive disability
Intro/Conclusion currently on identity, conclusion can be that there are a ton of questions that need
answering.
Cindys Comments on What I Had/Have:
Society
Possibly show a video clip of Disability Rights Movements
Overall very good
Terminology discuss
Literature:
Good point on hearing ppl writing disabled
Characters going from depended to empowered to acceptance - good point
Unpack the long definition
Education
Good point about fake inclusion
Advocate both sides of the argument the point is that it depends on the disability and the severity of
that disability
What If? my ideal education socially okay with ASL but poor English skills vs. mainstreamed with
awesome English skills but lonely Would I have gone to profoundly deaf school or one that covers the
spectrum of hearing loss?
Concerning other HH girl in high school did nobody think about introducing us? Were/would
confidentiality laws involved?

Identity:
Connect networking gift (creative communications) with example (signing to worship).
Explain INFP (people in audience wont know what that means)
Explain ROP syndrome
What do pages 2-5 of installment 1 (intro on identity) fall under the categories I have given?
Disability falls easiest into Environment/Influences section (get easybib source on Networking book)
I discuss my family a lot; family as environment and influence?
WHAT DOES ALL OF THIS MEAN?
Whatdoesallofthismeanwhatdoesallofthismeanwhatdoesallofthismeanit means that people are
complex and a lot of factors make up who we are and that a lot of what makes us who we are is
interrelated.
What is the answer for people with disabilities in society?
What is the answer for disability literature?
What is the answer for special education? Go back to separate classes/schools? Become all inclusive,
etc.?
Conclusion: what is the answer for each section; is there an answer at all? Major transition; my
answers lead to more questions.
