I believe students learn best when they are able to use technology during their education.
Having students engage with this imperative resource they'll better comprehend an educators
lesson plans additionally will make it easier for educators to teach and grade. However by
adopting technology I have a couple concerns in giving students liberty to use such tool. I want
to make sure they use the world wide web responsible instead of misusing it. In order for my

pledge to work every child has to have access to a computer so they can be taught the rights and
wrongs in
using the web.
The obstacle that prevents my proposal is that not every educational facility have the
same funding. This setback impedes educators, staff, and students from obtaining basic
technology. A national survey was conducted amongst teachers revealed that the biggest barrier
for educators was budget, 63% to be exact, teachers cited (PBS). Meaning that majority of the
schools have technology but it isn't high tech. If there isn't enough funding how can the
education system expect to integrate advance tech when there's teachers who lack the right tech
level. Its only going to decrease the possibilities for schools from receiving anymore than they
already are. Consequently its the education system to first address school budgets before
integrating technology.
After the committee address the major issue then they are able to focus on providing
assistance to teachers. For the overture to function teachers have to be fully taught. What I meant
by this is reports showed that 78 percent of teachers reported receiving fewer than 6 hours of
cyber safety, cyber security, and cyber ethics training(Devaney), suggests that a great number of
K-12 teachers had not received training, why is that? Because its not included in the system,
educators should be required to take workshops or courses to be better prepared in using high
tech. Educators first have to be taught so then they can use their knowledge to pass it on to their
pupils. Only then will students become aware of the consequences posting stuff online. As this
happens educators should keep in mind the Social learning Theory(Educational Theories).
What I found intriguing about this theory is it gets the observe to manipulate the module.
Its great to use when students are learning how to use the web because they'll be observing and

doing what the educators are asking them to do. This will result students to rightfully use the web
and will help students to comprehend and acknowledge the rights and wrongs. This is one
approach I would like for students to learn from the theory to pick up positive characteristics and
what great way to assess it by their educator. Thus will avoid foul play, plagiarism, etc.
Another factor we should look at when it comes to plagiarism are the educators. Sure its
the students who are copying but the educators share the blame, students in middle school or
high school were not taught properly (Gabriel). To avoid temptation educators have to better
address a student's writing. When students are better writers they'll be less likely to cheat and
demonstrate integrity.
In the end my objective with this proposition is for both the teacher and students become
better users of technology. For that to happen these dilemmas have to be solved to take positive
affect and alleviate other issues associated with them.
