Part Four: Other Requirements

1. What other requirements must you meet to graduate from this college/university with
your chosen degree? (Testing, Projects, Observation hours, etc.)
You have to attend a music recital every semester for the two year music program.
Also if you minor in education you have to do observation hours, depending on the class.

2. Student Teaching What did you learn about options for student teaching at your chosen
college/university?
They have student teaching for elementary education which would be perfect for what I
want to do. You can take it as a class and college supervisors come and watch how you are
teaching the students. They also have evaluations with their cooperating teacher every
once in a while. They have weekly seminars so they can understand more about teaching.
You also get to create a teacher portfolio from doing this.

Part Five: Certification

Please review the document from ISBE and answer the questions below.
1. Is the college/university you are planning to transfer to on the list of approved schools?
Yes my school is approved.
2. Which content test will you need to take?
MY content test would be music.
3. Will you have to complete the edTPA?
Yes because Im graduating after 2015.
4. What did you learn about the edTPA?
I learned that its programs that help you learn how to become a teacher. This
assessment just makes sure that the teacher is ready to teach an actual class and be
successful.

5. What is the APT test?

Assessment for Professional Teaching

6. How do you apply for licensure?

You have to make an account on the ISBE website. Then you have to apply online. You
