LSW: Bridge to Terabithia

1) What significance does the fact that Leslie and Jess are from two different places? Do
they learn something new from one another? Does it teach the reader anything?

This question matters to the reader because it reveals the characters in the story. It shows
that no matter how different the two characters are they build off each other and relate. It
also shows the reader that the different characters teach each other something different.
This would be a good question to ask children in the classroom because it can help them
understand if you broaden your group of friends you can learn new things and teach other
people new things.

2) Do you think Jess loss helped him and his parents become closer?

I noticed throughout the story that Jess father was never in the same room as Jess for
more than a minute. Even when he was laid off, he was still not around much. After Jess
loss he drove he was there for him, even if he they did not talk much. His mother also
seemed more sympathetic towards him as well and stood up for him when his sisters
were making fun of him.
