Introduction
The purpose for this project is to simply understand the discipline students want to
achieve and use the information investigated to become a better student. I am investigating the
discipline of accounting. Through this project, I hope to come to a final decision of this career
path I have chosen. The purpose of this progress report is to analyze the things I have done and
will do for the completion of this project. This will help me the professor give us feedback and
guidance in the right direction according to our progress.
What have you done?
To be honest, I have not done much towards this project. I have done the assignments that were
due like the interview questions, survey questions and article observations but I have not actually
conducted them. The professor I asked to interview was too busy so I kind of gave up but I know
I shouldnt have had. I have looked at three articles but none could really help me with my
secondary questions. These articles were too broad and had overall information about
accounting. These articles wouldve helped me if I wanted general information about accounting.
What are you missing?
I mentioned before that Ive not yet conducted my interview nor survey so I am still missing that.
I still need to do sight observations and more document readings because the ones I read did not
help much. I will be going to a COBA Accounting Workshop on October 20 at 3pm. They will
have information about the major and we will be able to ask questions so I think this will really
help me. I am still deciding if whether or not I should go to a meeting from the Accounting
Society club to find out information about them and what they do to improve in their major.

Conclusion
In conclusion, I am lacking confidence in myself that I can do this project. I feel a little
overwhelmed with all the requirements. I have not experienced any difficulties besides that the
professor I chose did not have enough time for the interview. I do anticipate difficulties for some
reason; maybe the fact that time goes by so fast so I feel like everything is just rushed. In
addition, I am glad that I have turned all the required work on time and I know I can keep this
up. I know I can do this, I am just overwhelming myself.
