Assessment Focus
Type of assessment we are focusing on:

Portfolio
Collection or sampling of information relating to each
childs development progress over time in an educational
setting.

Administration of Assessment
How will we administrate the assessment?
Collecting over a school year period.
Collecting samples from each quarter to share with
parents at conferences.
Obtaining at least one piece per week.

Legal Consideration
How will we ensure confidentiality?
All information documented is kept under strict
confidentiality.
Special request will be sent out to parents for permission
before using any type of digital media.
Pictures, videos, voice recordings, etc
All paperwork and portfolios will be kept locked up.
Childs parents can request to see portfolio at any given time.
Teachers and parents are the only ones that can access the
portfolios.

Diversity
As an educator it is important to adapt to the surrounding
diversity. Creating a partnership with families of
culturally diverse learners is essential. With families of
different culture or social economic group we are more
concerned of the educational well being of their
children. It is important to interact with members of the
families for the education experience of the children.
Language can be a barrier when intending to
communicate. Using volunteer helpers to communicate
with family members in a language they understand can
be one of the first steps to incorporate proper
communication with diversity.
