Right Atrium Dissection Guidelines

To cut the right atrium:


First, an incision from the
SVC to the IVC.
An additional incision may be
made horizontal below the
appendage

sites for pacing

Right Ventricle Dissection Guidelines

To cut the right ventricle:


Identify the Pulmonary artery
Make an incision from the pulmonary artery to
the apex following the RVOT next to the
interventricular groove.
Then, VERY CAREFULLY make a horizontal cut
below the tricuspid valve. Watch to see that
valve is kept intact.
