The B-2 Stealth Bomber can hold two Massive Ordnance Penetrators,
30,000 pound bombs(Collins). This is one feature of the B-2 stealth bomber but
there are many others. The plane is stealth because it is not on radar. The plane is
hard to get ready for flight but easy to fly. The components cause it to make it
harder to take off.
There are a lot of components to the B-2 Stealth Bomber There are many
components that make the B-2 different than other bombers. The revolutionary
blending of low-observable technologies with high aerodynamic efficiency and large
payload gives the B-2 important advantages over existing bombers (B-2 SPIRIT, 2).
These components make it good to go on missions. The plane has the ability to
carry more than 20 tons of conventional and nuclear ordnance (B-2 Spirit Stealth
Bomber ,1). One of the components is the weapon. This plane can refuel in the air.
It can fly 6,000 nautical miles unrefueled and 10,000 nautical miles with just one
aerial refueling{ (B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber, 1). The third component is a how far it
can go. The B-2 bomber can go really far with out refueling. The components of the
B-2 help it to be different than other planes.
The B-2 Stealth Bomber is made to be stealth and not be seen on the radar.
One of the features that makes it stealth is The B-2s flat, narrow shape and black
coloration help it fade into the night (, 3). So it can be more stealth in the night. The
second feature that makes it stealth is the Engines are buried inside the plane. This
helps muffle the noise ( , 3). It is so quiet that the enemy will not hear it coming.

The third feature that makes it stealth is Northrop Grumman has developed a new
radar-absorbent coating to preserve the B-2s stealth characteristics(B-2 Spirit
Stealth Bomber, 1).These are some facts about the B2. The radar-absorbent coating
helps the plane to be stealth. The last feature that makes it stealth is The engine has
an exhaust temperature control system to minimize thermal signature (B-2 Spirit
Stealth Bomber, 2). So that it is not hot so it will not go on the radar. All of these
features help the B-2 to be stealth.
The B-2 Stealth Bomber takes a lot of work to get it ready and fly the plane. It
takes a lot of training to fly it.Six months training just for the B-2(Collins). The
training helps you to fly the B-2. For the B-2 it takes a lot of people to get it working.
Theres hundreds of people that work on [just] the engines and work on the radar
coating(Collins). There are even more people to get it ready for flight. So you are
safe to go You have one person fly the airplane and the other person works on the
weapons(Collins). You need two people to control the plane. The training helps
them to fly the plane. Compared to other airplanes the B-2 is actually pretty easy to
fly(Collins). Not only the training helped but also the big wings made it easer to fly.
Overall it takes a lot of people to get it ready and training to fly it.
The B-2s components are the reason it takes a lot of people to get it ready.
