INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND
The plan should guide the LEAs use of education technology for the next three
years.

List specific start and end dates (7/1/xx to 6/30/xx). Provide a brief overview of
the LEA, its location and demographics and/or share a link to the LEAs website.

Describe how a variety of stakeholders from within the LEA and the communityat-large participated in the planning process.
There are public meetings around the state that gathers information based on
experience with the educational system

Summarize the relevant research and describe how it supports the plan's
curricular and professional development goals.
Summarize the plans major curricular and professional development
outcomes that are supported by research.

Describe and cite the relevant research that supports the plans outcomes.
Describe the connection between the research and the plans goals.
Describe information gathered from site visits, including best practices.
1. The plan aim to provide access to students and teachers to be able
to access technology and use it to enhance the teaching and
learning experience
2. According to the plans research data, technology has a significant
positive impact on learning
3. It makes sense to pursue a future in which more technology is
integrated into the learning environment if data suggests that there
is a correlation between learning and technology integration.
4. Based on site visits technology not only improves learning but also
performance, attitudes and behaviors, testing scores, information
retention and job placement skills which prepare students for the
future.

CURRICULUM COMPONENT CRITERIA.

The Plan must establish clear goals and realistic strategy for using
telecommunications and information technology to improve education services.
(Answer at least 4 questions for each subsection below)

Describe teachers' current access to instructional technology and current use of

digital tools.
Teachers currently have access to a wide array of instructional technology
and tools that allow them to better teach their students. Although they have
these tools available not all teachers have access and not all teachers
know how to fully use these technologies and tools. They are commonly
used in classrooms but are not necessarily the standard and there are
instances where it is not used at all.

Describe students' current access to instructional technology and current use of

digital tools. Include a description about the LEA policy, practices, and/or
replacement policy that ensures equitable technology access for all students.
Students have access to technology provided by the schools in order to
enhance their learning experience. Currently there is a four year
replacement cycle that allows for outdated equipment to be replaced with
newer versions and to prevent drawbacks caused by outdated technology.

Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, for using
technology to improve teaching and learning. Describe how these goals align to
the LEA's curricular goals that are supported by other plans. Describe how the
LEA's budget (LCAP) supports these goals, and whether future funding
proposals or partnerships may be needed for successful implementation.
Districts are required to annually report the number of educators that meet
the SBEC technology applications standard. Also annual evaluations are
put in place to record progress and make necessary changes in order to
stay on track with the program. The LEAs budget does not support these
goals continuously, to correct this, the plan has to be constantly updated
with new research and data in order to allow for the budget and the plan to
match up.

Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, to address

Internet Safety and the appropriate and ethical use of technology in the
classroom.
A curriculum is provided in order to educate students, parents, and
teachers and provides them with expectations and rules so that their
personal safety is ensured. Policies are put in place and updated regularly
in order to continuously ensure online safety and educate all users on
appropriate and ethical

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMPONENT

The Plan must have a professional development strategy to ensure that staff
understands how to use these new technologies to improve education services
(Answer at least 4 questions for each subsection below)

Summary of the teachers' and administrators' current technology proficiency and

integration skills and needs for professional development.
Teachers are provided with professional development opportunities so that
educators have the Technology Applications skills as defined by the SBEC
Technology Applications Standards. Texas has many teachers who are already
very comfortable with technology and use it regularly in their classrooms. The
ones who do not are willing to learn but have little or

Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, for providing
professional development opportunities based on your LEA needs assessment
data and the Curriculum Component of the plan.
Educators are provided 24/7 access to professional development
opportunities whether it be at a physical
INFRASTRUCTURE, HARDWARE, TECHNICAL SUPPORT, SOFTWARE, AND
ASSET MANAGEMENT COMPONENT CRITERIA
The Plan must include an assessment of the telecommunication services,
hardware, software, asset management, and other services that will be needed to
improve education services.
(Answer at least 4 questions for each subsection below)

Describe the existing hardware, Internet access, electronic learning resources,

technical support, and asset management already in the LEA that will be used to
support the Curriculum and Professional Development Components of the plan.
Most public schools have access to high-speed, high-capacity broadband
communications but not 24/7, which would benefit educators and students
substantially. There is also access to up-to-date hardware and software
with either in-person technical support (provided by the local IT
administrations
Describe the technology hardware, electronic learning resources, networking and
telecommunications infrastructure, physical plant modifications, technical
support, and asset management needed by the LEA's teachers, students, and
administrators to support the activities in the Curriculum and Professional
Development components of the plan.
All of these hardwares, softwares, infrastructures, networks, etc. are
already available but the plan is to make them even more accessible and
reliable 24/7 so as not to limit the possible benefits that they can provide to
the educational system.

MONITORING AND EVALUATION COMPONENT

The plan must include an evaluation process that enables the school to monitor
progress toward the specific goals and make mid-course corrections in response
to new developments and opportunities as they arise.
(Answer at least 4 questions for each subsection below)

Describe the process for evaluating the plan's overall progress and impact on
teaching and learning.
There will be many different assessment periods. Some will be annual or semiannual. Others will be real-time assessments provided by the same technology
that is regularly used by the students and the teachers. That way if any urgent
corrections need to be made, they will be known almost instantly and

Describe the schedule for evaluating the effect of plan implementation, including
a description of the process and frequency of communicating evaluation results
to tech plan stakeholders.
Plan evaluation will happen frequently. Annually, semi-annually, and even day-today. Meetings are arranged
