How to do Basic Alchemy

I.

Comprehend - Understanding what atoms and molecules that certain object are made
of is the most important key to alchemy. Understanding basic principles of potential and
kinetic energy helps when transmuting particularly large objects.

WARNING: Unstable Results may occur if the user fails to consider potential energy (energy
stored in an object due to its position in gravitys force) and kinetic energy(energy in an object
due to its motion).

Equivalent Exchange - "In order to obtain or create something, something of equal value must be
lost or destroyed." Equivalent Exchange can be represented in these two scientific laws:
Law of Conservation of Mass - Matter can be changed, moved, and decomposed, but the total
amount of mass remains constant.
Law of Natural Providence- An object or material made of a specific substance or element can
only be transmuted into another object with the same basic makeup and properties of that first
material.

All this knowledge is used to create transmutation circles, as more advanced transmutations
require specific runes, background information, and organization.
II.

Draw Transmutation Circle - A transmutation circle has two parts.

The circle itself is a medium that energy from the earth and object flows through.
Inside the circle are specific alchemical runes. Runes allow the energy that is focused within the
circle to be released in the way most helpful to the alchemist's desired effect. In basic alchemy,
these runes will often take the form of triangles.

1. Pick a tool to draw with; chalk is recommended for beginners as it erases easily.
2. Draw a circle that encompasses the whole object you wish to transmute.

3. Draw a centered square to a proportionate size with all corners touching the circle.
4. Draw another centered square about half the size and rotated 90 degrees in relation to
the previous square. Four triangles in the previous square should be made through this
process.

5. Draw a centered circle smaller than the square in step 2 that creates a smaller triangles
1/3 the size of the triangles created in step 3.

III.

Transmutation - The transmutation circle allows for the continual flow of energy during
the process of both actions. Transmutation altogether is the process of using energy to
break down the physical structure of the identified material into a more manageable
state so as to be easily reshaped into a new form by continuing the flow of energy.

1. Apply one or two hands on the transmutation circle

2. Focus on the result you wish to achieve from the transmutation.

REBOUND WARNING: Rebound occurs when you defy the law of equivalent exchange
meaning you attempt to use more energy and or material than you have.
DANGER: Do not attempt human transmutation! If a human is transmuted in any way the
consequences of defying Equivalent Exchange could mortally or severely wound both the
subject and the alchemist.
