COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY To: Benjamin Komick Merideth Venerus Representatives of the Bacchanal Committee Date: September 22, 2014 Dear Ben and Merideth, We, the four undergraduate deans, officially give full approval for Spring 2015 Bacchanal, which is scheduled for ‘Saturday, April 4, 2015, given the following conditions are met: '* Bacchanal Committee releases and actively broadcasts a set of Community Guidelines for wellness, community, accountability and diversity. Specifically, these guidelines will focus on the health of the concert attendees, as well as bystander awareness protocol. ‘© Bacchanal Committee organizes a student-led group named “Lion Tamers,” who are responsible for integrating within the crowd and monitoring students’ health and safety. These “Lion Tamers” will attend a ‘mandatory bystander intervention training session. ‘© Bacchanal Committee creates a wristband system to monitor atendance and entrance into the concert, with wristbands distributed through Tic. Students have the option to register a guest, as long.as they follow all procedures established by the Columbia administration. The number of guests will not exceed more than 10 percent of total attendance. Bacchanal Committee works with Residential Life to provide food to students on the day of the event. Bacchanal Committee works with Alice! Health to provide water stations to students on the day of the event. ‘* Bacchanal Committee provides food options for students on the day ofthe event. ‘¢ Bacchanal Committee works with CU-EMS to provide ample emergency staff and fist aid tents throughout the day ofthe event, ‘* Bacchanal Committee works with Public Safety to provide ample security on the day of the event. ‘The Bacchanal Commitee, under Benjamin Komnick and Meredith Venerus, with advisor Aaron Gomes, have permission to book artists for the show on the University’s behalf and have the full support of the administration, School of General Studies ‘The Fu Foundation Schoo! f A { f- of Engineering and Applied Science LEVY A i Avis E.
