The Executive Branch
The executive branch is run by the President of the United States who also acts as the
Commander-in-Chief of the military, with the Vice President by their side, and many more under
them. The president is responsible for putting in place and enforcing the laws of the United
States.
The laws are written by Congress.
The Cabinet and independent federal agencies are in charge of enforcing federal laws
throughout the United States.
Article two of the Constitution gives the President their power and responsibility of the
enforcement of laws to all of the country that were created by congress. There are fifteen
different departments in the executive branch that work to enforce and apply the federal laws to
the country. All the fifteen different sections of the branch are connected together by executive
agencies such as the Central Intelligence Agency, or CIA, and Environmental Protection
Agency.

When a bill is made, it is the presidents job to either sign the bill into a law, or veto the
bill and send the bill back to Congress. But, Congress can override the veto if two-thirds of them
find it reasonable.
At any moment, the Vice President has to be ready to take the role of being president if
the president is unable to do their job because; they are the next one in line. There are many ways
that the Vice President can become the president. This can happen from the president dying,
quitting, unable to do their job, or just strait up getting fired or also known as impeachment.
The Vice President serves as the vote that decides the tie of voting for the president. The
office of the Vice President is in the western part of the White House.
