Michigan Standard I Stewardship of a Vision of Learning

Goal: Communicate school vision to stakeholder groups.

Activity (Leadership): I will contribute to the weekly school newsletter.
Timeline: This activity will occur at least once a month.
Support Needed: The director will allow me to write a piece of material for the school
newsletter.
Michigan Standard II School Culture & Instructional Program
Goal I: Plan and deliver material during a professional development meeting.
Activity (Leadership): I will present a specific topic during a professional development meeting.
Activity (Participation): I will also assist the director in presenting other material during
professional development meetings.
Timeline: This activity will occur several times throughout the school year.
Support Needed: The director will assist me in planning material to be presented during a
professional development meeting.
Goal II: Co-lead in a summer school program.
Activity (Leadership): I will be a co-leader during an early childhood summer camp program.
Activity (Participation): I will also be a counselor at the summer camp learning from the other
leader.
Timeline: This activity will occur over several summers.
Support Needed: The director of the summer camp program will allow me to shadow her and
introduce me into a camp leadership position.
Michigan Standard III Management of Organization, Operations, & Resources
Goal I: Conduct a faculty meeting.
Activity (Leadership): I will lead a faculty (professional development) meeting.
Timeline: This action will occur several times throughout the school year.
Support Needed: The director will assist me in organizing and planning material during a faculty
meeting.
Goal II: Participate in the interview and hiring process.
Activity (Participation): I will sit in on an interview of a potential new employee.
Timeline: This activity will occur as often as the school conducts the hiring process.

Support Needed: The director will allow me to sit in during an interview.

Michigan Standard VI Collaborating with Community & Responding to Diversity
Goal: Plan and deliver material during parent orientations.
Activity (Leadership): I will plan and present material to parents during curriculum night and
parent-teacher conferences.
Timeline: This activity will occur twice a year.
Support Needed: The director will
Michigan Standard V Acting with Integrity, Fairness, and in an Ethical Manner
Goal: Participate in the development of a school ethic committee.
Activity (Participation): I will serve as a member of the schools kitchen committee.
Timeline: This will be a year-long activity with regular meetings.
Support Needed: The chair of this committee will hold several meetings throughout the school
year. My director will provide time for my attendance at these meetings; before, during, or after
school.
Michigan Standard VI Advocating for Student Learning
Goal: Represent the school in the community.
Activity (Participation): I will attend an Alliance for Jewish Education meeting.
Activity (Leadership): I will also present during one of these meetings.
Timeline: This activity will occur at least once a month.
Support Needed: The director will provide time for my attendance at this meeting.
Michigan Standard VII Participation in a substantial and sustained educational
leadership internship experience monitored by a qualified mentor.
