Morris claims that the Housing crises in Tipperary is a crises caused

by Government policies.
The housing crises has seen over 750 people forced to seek the help
of homeless services in the last 18 months alone. The reduction in rent
allowance and rent caps has caused severe tensions between
Landlord and Tenant with the latter being forced to renegotiate rents
downwards with landlords time and time again or face eviction or to
move to substandard accommodation. The 51 repossession cases in
Nenagh court tomorrow are a direct result of the Land and
Conveyancing Law Reform bill which was voted into law by among
others Alan Kelly and Noel Coonan. This bill untied the hands of banks
who are now hounding people out of their homes . The families
involved in the 51 cases in court tomorrow face a desperate Christmas
thanks to Government policy of putting the same banks that caused
the collapse of the economy first ahead of the Families that depended
on a Government which promised so much change but reverted to type
when they got elected. It is sickening to see a Minister(Minister Kelly)
who now claims to have all the answers to Homelessness when for 3
years this Government single handidly caused more Famlies into

homelessness than any other government. Minister Kellys legacy can

be seen in the tears of the families in Nenagh Courthouse on Thursday.
He would do well to take a trip down to the courthouse to see the
damage inflicted on the families of Tipperary by his Government.
Yours sincerely Cllr. Samie Morris 16/12/14
