St.

Laurent
Ausstich 2006
The St. Laurent Ausstich is a selection of the best casks of the
2006 vintage. Deep ruby-pomegranate colouration, hints of star
anis and gingerbread, and fine cherry notes make it a particularly
elegant representative of its variety.

Our oenologist Christian Schmidt on the St. Laurent Ausstich

2006: »Ageing in a large wooden barrel lends our St. Laurent
Ausstich its special velvety texture. A red wine which balance and
diversity of aromas leave one waxing enthusiastic.«

On the variety and origins of this wine:

Originally from France, the St. Laurent variety requires warm,
fertile areas. The Klosterneuburg Monastery’s vineyards in
Tattendorf offer optimum conditions for quality ripening of the
thick-skinned, dark blue grapes.
