Design of Bridge:
Bridges are built wherever a road would pass through a river or a stream. In our
design, there is a river cross with our proposed road at chainage 1+750 to Chainage 1+800.
Therefore, a bridge is proposed to be constructed by solving this situation. According to JKR
standard, for bridge that are less than 100 m long, the width of the usable shoulders should
follow that as indicated in Table 1.0.

In this project, we designed a Girder Bridge with 30.0 m long. A girder or beam
bridge is arguably the most basic bridge forms for bridge spans supported by an abutment or
pier at each end. Beam bridges are often only used for relatively short distances because,
unlike truss bridges, they have no built in supports. The only supports are provided by piers.
No moments are transferred throughout the support, hence their structural type is known
simply supported.
