Synopsis
One out of every four women will experience domestic violence in their lifetime.
Approximately 4-5 women are killed each day in the U.S. from the same.
Until this poignant documentary, there has been scant focus (if any) on DV solutions.
Most documentaries treating the subject offer a revelatory barrage of facts and figures heartfelt
stories from survivors, and little more.
This explosive documentary goes beyond numbers and facts into a solution based focus,
never before seen or offered. D.V. tells the story from a male perspective examining the
why men do what they do (DV) and What can we as a community do to effect positive
behavioral change. How can you and I help STOP the violence is the undercurrent of the film.
Using simple, straight-forward language and a realistic approach, our film provides
candid interviews with former abusers, some are well known super stars (think Ray Rice), others
are still in jail for their crimes, while others have sought help from outside sources and have
come forth to share their stories of redemptive change. Listening to them affords the viewer a
unique perspective and educational experience into their respective paradigms and emotional
triggers. Sometimes knowing what NOT to do or learning the WARNING signs of potential
abusers can help keep a woman safe.
Interspersed among DV interviews professional doctors and counselors weigh in on
signs, symptoms, treatment options, explanations of why the abuser abuses and more. This is
very exciting as we learn hidden secrets of the psychopathic mind as well as surprising
information about why women stay and in some cases unwittingly contribute to the cause.
Once the documentary has thoroughly examined the problems and causes of DV, we shift
our focus or ARC to solutions. A little known program created for men by an incarcerated U.S.
military veteran is probed on its potential to help eliminate DV at the root.

This program is called: Dont Hit, Quit! (Take a Time-out!) . Its simplistic approach is
sobering. The author tells us, In this modern age of advanced technology where you can get
help with anything from cooking to changing a tire why isnt there a place or places for men to
go if they want to circumvent a violent response?
We learn there are no equivalent counterparts to domestic violence shelters for women.
Men seeking to do the right thing and Walk Away have no positive, organized places created
for them to retreat to in times of crisis. This new program allows a man in crisis to use his
phones app or dial 1-800 Timeout, or 1-800 Dont Hit. A volunteer will pick the man up,
transport him to a safe facility with trained professionals who will then INTERVENE on his
behalf with his partner at home to establish a safe plan of return.
Hosted by famous A-lister John Savage (who also hosted our last project), we take the
fight of eradicating DV to the source men. Unless we reach the root participants, the problem
will continue in stealth. It is not enough to talk about the problem this pivotal film finally
offers a range of solutions.

Funding Strategy
Our primary funding source is celebrity based sports figures. The creator of the film is
also the brother of three time superbowl champion Russell Maryland (Dallas Cowboys).
Outside of this primary source (if need be) the films creator is also a former securities
broker with a direct access to high-networth individuals who may be approached for sponsorship.
Domestic violence is a serious topic of social concern. We are confident in these rudimentary
sources.
Crowdfunding will also be utilized minutely mainly to raise awareness of the upcoming
film. The project director has experience with Kickstarter. We also have the counseling of
Louise Levison (financial consultant) to assist with funding strategies should the above noted
efforts fail.

Bio-Joanne Busch
(Project Director)
Joanne Busch graduated from the Ohio State University with a BSN in nursing. As a
travelling nurse throughout the contiguous United States and Hawaii, she witnessed firsthand the
effects of domestic violence, treating patients in emergency rooms.
Her passion for acting led her to Southern California where she took classes from
acclaimed instructor Brad Heller (The Heller Approach). Her talent landed her roles on both Star
Trek (webisodes) and Untold Stories of the E.R.
Craving more involvement with process of filmmaking, Joanne learned production
duties at Heyday Productions, Inc. where she met the companys president and CEO, Prince
Maryland. Under his tutelage Joanne produced notable film projects like the Casting Couch
(Toronto Film Festival) and the feature film Spin the Bottle (teen comedy).
Joanne was approached by HerTube.tv to produce a series of documentary/talk shows
called Tinseltown for the 2013-2014 inaugural season. Season two is in development. Due to
the shows overwhelming success Joanne has been offered the top spot running her own TV
shingle.
President of Golden Goose Films, Inc. Joanne has produced/co-produced/developed a
mini-slate of feature films. Her latest feature is budgeted at $20 million with bank financing,
domestic/international distribution featuring Jennifer Garner (Alias) and Gretchen Mol
(Boardwalk Empire).
Joanne maintains her nursing status working part-time at UCLA.

Maryland began his career in front of the camera on the hit television series 21
Jumpstreet playing a high school extortionist. Landing roles on MacGyver, Unsub (David
Soul), Wise Guy and others, turned into a hand-picked feature spot on Chris Carters The XFiles.
Relocating from British Columbia (Canada) to Los Angeles, Maryland quickly found
success writing feature screenplays. He is the uncredited author of Barber Shop featuring IceCube. Maryland returned to Vancouver briefly (Vancouver Film School) where he met and lived
with Golden Globe, Tony and two-time Emmy winner Michael Moriarty.
Michael mentored Maryland carefully, providing introductions that would prove
invaluable (John Savage, et. al.). Maryland wrote-acted-directed-produced-edited-composed
several pilots picked up by Comcast via independent access.
A chance meeting with UCLA instructor-director David Friedman, placed one of
Marylands projects in the hands of uber producer Mark Burnett. Eventually the project (Starlet)
was picked up by WB for one season.
Maryland (a U.S. military veteran) contracted PTSD while in service. His condition went
undiagnosed for over (20) years. He had a psychotic break discovering his (then) wifes
numerous infidelities which led him into domestic violence. While incarcerated he sought
psychiatric help on his own to understand his behavioral responses. He was diagnosed with
PTSD, depression, and anxiety.
Once prescribed a strict Prozac regime, the fog cleared as he puts it. He began to give
back authoring, producing, directing documentaries designed to impact social awareness. His
latest offering is: D.V. (domestic violence).
He has also written (68) commercial screenplays, one of which is in preproduction
budgeted at $20 million with domestic and foreign distribution in place.

Bio-Tiffani Jennings
(Editor)
Tiffani Jennings joined the United States Army right out of high school, a month after she
turned 18.
After the war she pursued an education but couldn't really put her finger on "What she
wanted to be when she grew up", until one day she found herself with nothing and nowhere to
go. On the street with her young son, in a place far from home with no one to turn to but herself,
she found herself in a women and childrens shelter in Savannah, Ga. The women in this
environment inspired her to create a story about how the shelter helped so many people, many
whom had been victims of domestic violence; hence her first PSA was born. After that she
found her niche in the world. She realized that she wanted to compel people to make a difference
through picture; to open minds and change peoples opinions through the power of cinema. She
embarked on a journey that would change her life forever.
Tiffani found her way back to her home, California, penniless, and broken. Through
sheer will she clawed her way out and found her way to Video Symphony School of Television
and Film Editing, and it was there that she gained the knowledge it took to realize her dreams.
After graduation she went on to edit a dramatic feature entitled Sunny and Rayray
starring Harry Lennix, and tasted her first experience with documentary editing when she worked
on the movie Behind the Gate starring academy award winner Joe Pesci.
After realizing the first step in a series of many, with her first movies, she continued on
editing anything she could get her hands on, and finally fell in line under Emmy award winning
Producer Brent Dones on his latest project, and Prince Maryland on a subject very dear to her,
War.
Tiffani currently spreads her brand of creativity on all those with whom she encounters
and is still embarking on her mission of enlightening the world one creation at a time.
