Memorable events
Imagine ...100 years into the future: a museum has been set up to celebrate
your life.
The museum shows a collection of objects and things that you owned. From seeing these things,
visitors will have a sense of the person you were and will learn about the life you lived.

1. You should think carefully about the objects you choose. For each choice, you must
be able to explain why you think it should be in your museum and how it is
significant to you. You should include:
2 things from childhood
3 photographs
2 pieces of music
4 fantasy objects imagine your perfect life.
Try to include some real objects from your life now, but also try to be creative with some fantasy
objects: perhaps you won Olympic medals, wrote bestselling books, became a pop star ...

2. Think about the things that people 100 years into the future will be interested in seeing.
What will they find strange and what will they find familiar about the life you lived?

3. Prepare to give a guided tour of your museum. Write a handout to accompany the
exhibition, explaining the significance of the objects on display. Imagine that the curator of the
museum wrote the handout.
