Ok I read this for my own knowledge’s because I just write it in tally book, who knows
sometimes I really need to refer it back.
To measure volumes in horizontal cylindrical tank we need to know Deep ratio (D) by divides
Height (h) of water inside tank in Inches by the Diameter (d) of tank itself, once you got the
deep ratio of cylindrical tank multiply it with tank capacity and you’ll get exactly how much
volumes in gallons
ℎ
D=𝑑

.32 .275729 .64 675939 .96 .986520

Example:
How many barrel water in cylindrical tank with 60” diameter, and water height 24”, (tank
capacity is 1469 gal)
D = 24/60 = .40
So water in cylindrical tank is 1469 x .373439 = 548.54 gallon, or 548.54/42 = 13.06 barrel.
That’s it’s what I can share for this time hope next time still able to share to you all.
