DONATIONS TO THE CAT SPECIALIST GROUP

The IUCN/SSC Cat Specialist Group (Cat SG) currently includes 202 of
the world's leading wildlife managers, scientists and conservation experts
on wild living cat species in 57 countries throughout the world:

Within the World Conservation Union (IUCN), the Cat SG is a member

of the Species Survival Commission (SSC) and as such provides
species assessments for the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.

The Cat SG advises governments that are party to the Convention on

International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora
(CITES).

Throughout the world, the Cat SG provides education and training

programs to support much needed expansion of expert capacities for
research, monitoring and conservation of wild living cat species.

By providing and managing the Digital Cat Library, various online

compendia and a comprehensive online project database, the Cat SG
offers a central hub of specialized information for all stakeholders
involved. Through its official newsletter Cat News, the Cat SG
periodically publishes up-to-date information around topics of interest.

Through its engagement, the Cat SG ensures availability of a worldwide

and up-to-date scientific base of information which is indispensable for the
long term conservation of wild cat species. As a Friend of the Cat Group
