5 Themes of Geography Poster Project

Year 5 Geography

Select a place that you have lived, visited, or know a lot about. Make a poster about
the location that you have selected showing the Five Themes of Geography. You
may cut out pictures, illustrate them yourself, or use actual photographs. Each
theme should have a paragraph that goes with each picture connecting the theme to
the place you selected. Also, you can refer to Brainpop: Geography Themes for
more info.
The 5 Themes of Geography are:
1. Location (Where is your place located? Latitude and Longitude? Continent?
Country?)
2. Place (What is your place like? Human, land features, climate.)
3. Human/Environment interactions (How people live or work in their
surroundings. How do they affect their environment?)
4. Movement (Of people, goods, and ideas)
5. Regions (What region/which regions is your place located?)
