a. Yangtze River- The primary cause of pollution on Yangtze River is industrial waste. This is

chemicals and other waste products that come from factories. The effects of the Yangtze
River are very bad. The effects include things like the water from the river is dangerous to
drink and can cause sickness and even death. Its also affecting trade, plants irrigated by
the water can die or become dangerous to eat, and industries are being shut down if they
are causing the pollution.

the pollution, but this is mostly associated with the Yangtze. Many of the people often

a.
Climate and location has a big impact on the population distribution in Southeast Asia.
A lot of Southeast Asia is a desert and most people like to live near rivers for water and
irrigation , and where there are more job opportunities. The climate also tends to be
better in these areas. So the climate and location does have a big impact on the
population distribution in Southeast Asia. The areas like I described have a larger
population than other areas.

b.
The mountains, desert, and water features of Southeast Asia have affected the
population in terms of where people live, the types of work they do, and how they
travel. Many people in a country want to live near the rivers and water. This way it is
easier to trade and travel with other people. In Southeast Asia there are mountain
ranges and deserts and nobody wants to live near them. So these features have
affected the population in Southeast Asia. The population near the rivers and water will
be more dense. So therefore since they live by the water their jobs and the way they
travel are different too.

Literacy Rate effects the standard of living of a country. Literacy

rate is the percentage of people in a country that can read and
write and the standard of living is basically how well you live and
what you have available to you. To have a high standard of living
your literacy rate has to be high. You have to have a high literacy
rate to have a good job and many other things as well. So the
higher the literacy rate the higher the standard of living.
