The Lost Battalion Reflection
I agree with all but some decisions made by the commanders and soldiers during battle. I
would have made similar decisions by the soldiers because they chose to fight to the end with
dignity and honor for their country and cause. I do not agree with General Alexanders decisions
to give false information and not send more troops to meet up with them. Major Whittlesey made
good decisions to stay where they were and to still fight the Germans even though no help was
coming.
