Dear Dr. Nibbe:

I am writing to thank you for participating in the planning and hosting of Van
Jones visit to Hawaii. This visit planned in conjunction with First Lady Nancy
Carroways salon was a great success and we truly appreciate HPUs
assistance. Your help specifically was invaluable in thinking through how to
connect the two salon visits Van Jones and Joseph Stiglitz. As a result of the
two visits we are looking hard at the state legislature at creating some kind of
revolving fund for green/clean energy projects, as well as the state bank.
In addition to thanking you for your help in strategic thinking, we appreciated
the participation of your students at the large event at the state capital. HPU
students I was lucky enough to meet were smart, fun, and charming. I am glad
they like the poi!
As we continue to meet and think through next years round of speakers for the
Governors salon I hope you will continue to lend us your Manao.
