1 (a) 1 Skim the passage
(i)
Read the first sentence and the last sentence of every paragraph to get a general idea about
the passage.
(ii)
Scan the passage Read each and every sentence very carefully.
(iii)
Look at the questions given.
(iv)
Locate their answers and underline them.
(v)
Write to the point answers in your own language as far as possible.
(b)
(i) For the word attack questions look for the difficult words in the same form (in the same part of
speech) for example Noun for Noun Adjective for adjective etc.
