Job Shadow Experience
I job shadowed at the Prohealth Care Greenwald Center in Mukwonago. I job shadowed
on November 26th, from 7am to 1pm. I job shadowed my uncle Sean Jochims. Dr. Jochims is a
Neurologist which is in the diagnostic and therapeutic pathway.
The day of the job shadow I wore dressy but professional clothes and I rode with my
uncle to work. My uncle owns his own private practice in Waukesha but on Wednesdays he
drives to Mukwonago and rents out a space in a hospital. When we first got there his assistant
told him what all the patients that he was seeing needed. The first patient he did a nerve test with
electrodes. The next couple of patients he and I went in and talked to them and ran a couple of
tests. That day we saw about 8 different people and it was cool to see how he diagnoses them and
sets up a treatment.

I learned a lot about myself on this trip like I am really interested in this career and I
really got to see what it was all about. I am still interested in this career but I think I want to be a
pediatric neurologist because I really like working with kids and I do work better with them. It
surprised me how many different things my uncle does on his normal job day, it was very
interesting to see all the equipment and stuff. I think my interested are related to this career and
my uncle does have his own practice that I might want to work at or take over when I get older. I
really am interested in this career and I had a great time on my job shadow.
