Stage 3 Learning Plan
Learning Activities:
1) The teacher will call the students over to the carpet to finish up the lesson from
the previous day. She will ask them to bring their Pollution Prevention worksheet.
2) She will use the Document Camera to introduce the activity they will be doing
and by modeling her example of the activity. She will show the students her poster
to they can get an idea as to what they will be doing.
3) The teacher will explain that they will be making a poster that could be sent out
in mailboxes in their community on ways to prevent pollution to their watershed.
She tells the students they can use ideas from their Pollution Prevention worksheet
if desired. She will explain that students will need to add a picture to their poster as
well as basic information that their community could easily understand as well as
easily read.
4) Students will grab a piece of white printer paper and will work individually or

quietly with a partner and create their own posters.

5) Students will have until 10 minutes before science period end before they will
need to stop.
6) Student can volunteer to share their posters with the rest of the class so we can
get their ideas. Students will also hand their posters in to be hung up in the hallway.
7) Students will clean up and get ready for the next activity.
