Learning Objectives

By the end of the session we will be able:

To know what topic will be used to

facilitate the childrens learning.
To know how learning differs from
that of Term 1.
To know what key events will be
happening in FS1.

To know how you can facilitate your

child learning both in and out of school.

Swimming
Swimming lessons are now replaced with
PE sessions in preparation for the FS
sports day on
Monday 9th February

Please note that children will need a

house coloured t-shirt for sports day
this year.
This can be ANY t-shirt
Swimming will resume on 22nd February.

Changes to the school day in Term 2

Free Flow starts at 7.40 ends at 11.30

Children are split into three smaller groups within

classes to enable effective learning for circle times on
2 days a week. Group circles on all other days.
We have now implemented enrichment for each class
for half an hour a week per class. This session is taken
by a member of the enrichment team.
Literacy is taught each day through a book focus.
Lunch is at 11.30-12 00
12.00 -12.30 Story time/Music /Refection of days
learning.

Literacy (Specific)
Expressive Art and Design (Specific)
I think we will all agree we have seen
amazing progress in these areas of
learning. Well done to your children.

In Term 2 lots of Emphasis on

SPECIFIC AREAS

Mathematics.
Understanding of the World.
Literacy.
We will also discuss My Dubai as part
of Cultural Studies.

We will still continue to work on the

Prime Areas.
