In a female cadaver an accessory infraorbital nerve was present. It ran between the
lower wall of the orbit and the eyeball and near the fossa of the lacrimal and entered a
short accessory infraorbital canal about 8 mm long. The nerve emerged from the canal
through the infraorbital foramen ending in cutaneous branches to the face. On the left
body side the structure of the nerve was normal.
