RADIATION SAFETY OFFICER / JOB Description

Supervised daily NDT (RADIOGRAPHY) operations and report the


status to Operations manager.
Review all required equipment, materials and instrument needed in
project.
Monitor NDT technician requirements referred
by Radiation safety procedures i.e. (TLD, Survey meter EPD and
monthly TLD dose report) and client safety procedure.
Make sure all Industrial Radiography comply on Government
regulations and closely monitored in compliance to
the safety requirements of the Government regulating body of Saudi
Arabia, i.e K.A.CARE and KACST.
Provide safety materials and training to the technicians and
maintaining all the Records.
Submission of the reports to KACST (dose record and Isotope Status).
Visit sites and make necessary arrangements
regarding Radiation Safety.
Control Projector Leak test as KACST requirement.
Control the activity related to the conventional NDT including
(Coordination, safety, logistic, auditing, quality, and purchasing).
Prepare documents for export and import of radioactive sources.
Orient new employee for safety and health program.
Interface with the supplier and authorized shipper.
Make sure that calibration and maintenance is being performed to all
equipment requiring calibration.
Control the documentation of all the activities related
to radiation safety.
Liaison with local authorities.
Marketing, meeting with client, prepares project proposal and
quotation.
Review supplier submitted quotation and proposal.
