contained on the power point, you will examine various readings, political cartoons, maps and charts located
across the internet. As you go, examine the material and answer the questions. Good luck!
Section 1: Causes of Imperialism (slides 2 7)
1. What would a nation need to experience before they began to conquer other countries?
Ans : Industrialization
2. What two economic reasons did Europe have for imperialism? (What did they want from the colonies, and

Ans : A group of people ruled over the by an emperor or powerful government.

Ans : 12 countries.
