slow-motion phone; the wall was thrown upwards in a curve motion and then landed at the other side.
Step was to place the
measurements correctly, by this I mean the scale of 1m which of course my partner is holding.
Then we used the Pasco
Capstone software to upload the video to the software and make an analysis of it.
And the Y and X graph to
show the movement of the ball as it was thrown into the air.
Final step crosses where
added for each frame to show the vertical and horizontal movement that the ball did when launched. After all the dots were placed a graph of vertical and horizontal velocity were placed.

This was the graph for vertical motion, as we can see
the motion of the graph changes at a constant rate. This means that the rate is the same as the gradient which is 9, 33, acceleration is the same as the gradient 9, 33 therefore it is the same as the value of gravity which is 9, 81. This means that the gravity had an effect on the ball, which is correct. As a result the acceleration of the ball is 9, 33 which is close to 9, 81. Gravity is what slows down the ball vertically; it is not exact because friction is a factor.
Wagner Ona Year 12 Physics
This was the graph for horizontal motion, we can see
that is almost a straight line that does not change and is constant. The line is this way because gravity affects the object vertically, when horizontally there is no gravity affecting the ball; therefore the line is straight and constant. The only factor that could affect the horizontal velocity here would be Friction, but it is negligible. This shows the horizontal velocity is the same thought the whole motion of the ball.
