Multimedia Journalist
As a multimedia journalist at WJCL I gather news content, provide enterprise stories and gain sources that
contribute to the daily newscast. I meet deadlines, both for broadcast stories and on digital media. I have a special skill
set how and where to locate information that contributes to the story. Ive been commended particularly for gaining
cooperation from otherwise unwilling interview subjects, eliciting compelling sound bites and locating key public
records to form the basis for stories.
Fill in anchored for weekend shows
Interviewed federal, state and local government officials, political candidates, convicted felons, school
officials, victims of crime, and others affected by news events we are covering.
Covered local stories that gained national attention; in particular the Georgia Ports Authority warehouse fire,
Paula Deen law suit, and the Escapade Casino boat that was stranded off the Georgia coast.
