Martin Luther King Jrs

famous I have a dream
speech was meant to tell
all of the whites in
America that there is no
need for racism and
oppression of other people
just because they have a
different skin color than
other people and that he
simply wants people to
stop judging others just
because of their
appearance or skin color
and to stop assuming that
people that are different
than others are somehow
inferior and dont have
any rights, as well as
telling whites that all
people are equal and that
saying that people are
inferior just because they
look different is wrong

Noble Peace Prize

Martin won the very well regarded Nobel Peace Prize in
1964 because of the way he and many others protested
the discrimination of African-Americans without violence
and never retaliated to violence sent their way by white
extremists who thought that blacks were inferior to
whites and should be treated like second class citizens.

Rosa Parks was one of the biggest leaders

of the civil rights movement, most
notably when she refused to give up her
seat to a white man that was getting on
the bus and didnt give it up until police
arrested her which caused a wave of
questions directed at the busses. This
intern caused the famous bus boycott
where thousands of black citizens refused
to ride the bus nation wide. As a result
many bus routes started to lose money
very rapidly and it also caused the bus
routes that white people got on as well as
black people to go out of business. This
also had a profound consequence around
the nation and as a result the violence
word black people intensified and the
result was only that black people
protested and fought for their rights
more and more.
