What is the Process Flow Rate

What is the Desired Hydraulic Loading Ratio
What is the Desired Plate Spacing

NOTE: The hydraulic loading ratio is typically

set from .25 to .5 The lower the settling rate or
specific gravity (of the settleable material) the
lower the hydraulic loading ratio.
Hydraulic loading ratios can be determined by
field tests or calculated based on the specific
gravity of the chemically treated solids.

NOTE: Plate spacing can be set to any number desired. The

recommended plate spacing is typically 2" but higher (and
lower, down to as little as 1") can be specified if required by
your application. Plate spacing is usually determined by the
quantity of TSS present. Be cautious when specifying plate
spacing less than 2". TSS and hindered settling rates must be
taken into consideration.
