DIFFERENCE AMPLIFIER
AIM:- To study the following applications of operational amplifier:
1. Adder
2. Subtractor
3. Comparator
APPARATUS:- Function Generator, Power Supply, CRO, OP-Amp 741C, Connecting
Wires, Resistance 10Kohm (3), 1 Kohm(2), Diodes
THEORY:CIRCUIT DIAGRAM:-

PROCEDURE:1. Connect the circuit as per the circuit diagram.

2. Apply DC Supply Voltage of +12V to 7th pin and -12V to 4th pin and middle pin to
ground in IC Trainer kit.
3. Connect RPS - CH1 (RED pin) and CH2 (RED pin) at pin 2 inverting terminal
and related Black pins to ground and adjust it to different voltages (Va) (say 0.2V,
0.5V, 1V etc).
4. Vary value of V1 and V2 and observe the output waveform
5. Calculate and verify theoretical and Practical values for DC inputs.

RESULT:The application of OP-Amp has been verified as adder, subtractor and comparator. The
theoretical and practical values are compared and verified.

PRECAUTIONS:1. Connections should be made carefully.

2. Verify the circuit before giving supply.
3. Take readings without any parallax error.
