Native Revival Nursery: October 2013- March 2013

General nursery work at one of the largest and diverse collections of native plants in Northern
California including customer service, sales, marketing, taking care of over 1000s of native plants,
drought tolerant landscaping, feeding livestock, seed gathering, and, propagation.
Native and non-native plant community field mapping for the 24-acre Vasona Creek Restoration
Project at West Valley College.
Photographed over 100 species for an online native plant inventory, website, and marketing.

California State Parks, Santa Cruz District: Natural Resources Crew 2012 - 2013

Natural Resource Crew Member - invasive plant management, native tree planting, trail
maintenance, prescribed burns, and resource management.
Worked in the field on a corvid taste diversion pilot project to save the endangered Marbled
Murrelet.

California Conservation Corps San Luis Obispo Green Jobs Corps 2009-2010

Interned with the Sierra Club and the California Conservation Corps to develop an alternative
energy job-training program called the Cuesta Green Tech Program at Cuesta Community
College.
Planned and executed meetings, applied for federal grants, fundraising, and collaborated between
non-profit, government, and private organizations.

Projects
Living Cities International Design Competition Entry 2011
Entered an international architecture design competition to redesign Detroit, MI to be sustainable

by 2035.
Participated as an Earth Science Consultant on an interdisciplinary team of three architects and
one engineer for senior project.
Developed an urban agriculture plan, designed ecological greenways, and planned various
methods of land rehabilitation.
Published a 33-page senior project paper titled, Growing the Urban Ecosystem in Detroit, MI. to
the Cal Poly Library.

Guateca Appropriate Technology Study Abroad Program in Guatemala 2011

Helped start a study abroad program to develop Appropriate Technologies in rural Guatemala.
Worked on organic agriculture projects with local farmers to develop sustainable solutions.
Taught middle school classes in Spanish, lived with a host family, and facilitated cultural
exchanges.

Founder and Senior Editor of Realize Culture 2008-Present

Self-published 9 issues of a magazine that promotes inspiring art, culture, and information.
Our website www.RealizeCulture.com and magazines have over 60,000 views online, and our
print copies have been distributed across the world.
In addition, I am a writer, manage advertising, create photography and video content, manage our
website on wordpress, promote through social media, graphic design on InDesign, and manage
print production.

Co-Founder of Green Gravity 2010-2011

Co-Founder of an organization that planned community events to bring together environmental


activists around food, education, and art.
Hosted a sustainability themed talk show on KCPR 91.3 FM, self produced 20 episodes as
