February 6th, 2015. A new Mainstreet Technologies poll of 1,997 Saskatchewan residents finds
66% want child care facilities to refuse unvaccinated children. The poll carries an overall margin
of error of +/- 2.19%, 19/20.
"31% of residents dont believe parents should have a say in whether their children are
vaccinated or not, said Quito Maggi, President of Mainstreet Technologies. "That means 55%
believe that parents should have the ultimate say in whether their children receive vaccinations,
though 51% back allowing schools to refuse unvaccinated children."
55% say parents should be able to decide against vaccinating their children.
51% agree schools should turn away unvaccinated children.
20% agree vaccines could cause autism, 21% neither agree or disagree with the statement.
63% agree serious health impacts loom if children are not vaccinated.
"Whats concerning is 20% of residents agree vaccines could cause autism, and that 15% dont
believe lower immunizations rates will cause serious health problems. There are many children
who cannot be immunized and who are depending on herd immunity for their well-being,
finished Maggi.
