Course content:

This course is taught in lessons of 50 minutes per week. One of the teachers
of the principal subjects gives the lessons for all the students of the group of
instruments. The other teacher gives the lessons in orchestral parts so that
all the students have contact with both teachers. During the group lessons
students play for each other. Together they study the works and investigate
and analyse technical problems.

Objectives:

At the end of this course, the student is able to

Form his/her own artistic and instrumental judgment at an advanced


level based on often complex information received from different
teachers with various artistic and cultural backgrounds.

Navigate international performance standards through the presence of


international guest professors.

Perform for a specialist audience in an international multicultural setting


through the presence of international students and teaching faculty.

Engage with new and often complex repertoire at an advanced level,


building upon repertoire knowledge gained in the Bachelor programme.

Reflect and assess his/her own functioning as a professional player


through the specific feedback given to the students by peers and the
teaching faculty.

Weekly group lessons; for pianists the frequency of the groups lessons is
