Completed an 18-week clinical rotation at an esteemed acute care facility, gaining experience working among the dietetic
staff as a part of a multidisciplinary team treating patients with a variety of different medical conditions
Assessed and monitored the nutritional status and made adjustments as indicated utilizing current methodologies and
recent knowledge from scientific literature. Assessments involved calculating estimated needs, implementing medical
nutrition therapy, and monitoring patients

of foods to purchase from the grocery store, where to find these items within the store, and how to read food labels
Observed the counseling of gestational diabetic patients with varying preexisting conditions such as Type 1 diabetes, cystic
fibrosis, and addictions. Gained a clear understanding of how to alter a recommended diet to meet specific patient needs
