Due to the depletion of fossil fuels from the conventional sources
becomes essential alternative fuel research. Hence the method of obtaining biodiesel from various sources and blending them with diesel is adopted in many economically developed and developing countries around the world. The current work investigates the engine behaviour experimentally as well as computationally the use of mahua oil Methyl Ester blends with diesel in Variable Compression Ratio (VCR) CI engine. The performance, emission and combustion characteristics of blends of mahua oil with diesel for various compression ratios will be studied experimentally.
