and circulate throughout body to influence specific target cells
Chemical receptors to fit cells; cell signaling
Hypo: too little
Hyper: too much
Hypothalamus: pituitary endocrine (HPE) axis (neuroendocrine
connection)
Hypothalamus: releasing and inhibiting hormones (Page 1203)
Helps with movement behavior and nervous system function
(ANS)
Pituitary gland- master gland, at base of skull, near optic nerves
(Anterior/posterior) (Diabetes insepidus/SIADH)
Pineal gland: helps with melatonin production
