Since 1990, all Nurse Aides and Home Health Aides must complete an approved training program to be eligible for
employment. Students completing this program will be eligible and qualified to take the State Nurse Aide
Competency Exam and Home Health Care Exam.

The Orchard View Community Education Nurse Aide/Home Health Aide course is an
approved 190+ hour training program developed in cooperation with and endorsed by nursing home facilities
and home health care agencies in the Muskegon area. It includes classroom lecture, laboratory work, and on-thejob clinical training in an area nursing home facility.
