It is a great honor and pleasure to invite you to participate in the Romanian Straight-Wire
Association Congress which will be held in Iasi, Romania, from 28 of May-30 of May 2015. The
local Organizing Committee has prepared an excellent scientific program with many renowned

Our younger colleagues will also share their work, bringing a breath of fresh air with their
presentations and posters.
Additionally, you will have a chance to discover and taste the flavors of Iasi, a very important city
in the Romanian history, also known as the "cultural center of Moldavia", a place where every
corner evokes a personality, a legend, where every stone talks about the past.
The participants will also have the possibility to see the newest orthodontic materials and
equipments at the trade exhibition that will take place during the congress. A special attention will
be given to the awards granted for the best oral and poster presentations.

Congress Venue
The Romanian Orthodontic Straight-Wire Association Congress will take place in the Congress Hall
Palas Iasi.
The congress and the course office will be opened from Thursday 28th of May until Saturday 30th
of May 2015.

Official languages
The lectures will be presented in Romanian or English. The pre- congress course will be presented in
English.

A trade exhibition of orthodontic materials and equipments will take place during the congress.

How to register to the Congress and/or course

Registration fees must be paid in full, in EURO or RON by a bank check to the order and only of the
Romanian Straight-Wire Association and attached to the registration form. The registration forms
must be returned to the office of the ARSW.

Scientific Programme

Certificate of attendance is going to be presented to all registered participants with CME Credits.

Abstracts
The abstracts selected by Scientific Committee will be presented as oral or poster presentation.

Instructions for authors

Abstracts must be submitted in English or Romanian. It should not exceed 300 words in length and
should be set out as indicated below:
The font size must be size 12 Times New Roman
Underline the name of the presenting author
Do not include any additional underlining, italics or illustrations
Titles in BLOCK capitals (10 - word limit).

Abstract Format
Authors (lower case letters). The name of five authors only should be included in the names of all
the first five authors being deleted.
Institution. The full postal address should be given on the correspondence page but only the name
of the institution, city and country within the actual abstract.
Aim of investigation, Material (or subjects) and methods.
Results. Results should be given if necessary, in abbreviated form.
Conclusions. A statement such as "the results will be discussed" is insufficient.
Please note that registered delegates will be limited to one presentations i.e. either a paper and a
poster, or two posters.

Letters of confirmation
Letter of confirmation or rejection of submitted abstracts will be delivered to authors by the 1st of
March 2015. All authors will be informed about details concerning their presentation.

Oral presentation
Time assigned for presentation is 10 minutes. Discussion about presentations will be held after each
session.

Poster presentation
Posters are going to be numbered and distributed by congress topics.
Posters should be constructed in portrait format to a maximum size of 90 cm (width) x 120 cm
(height).
Presentation of posters is going to be held on 29 .05. 2015, from 11AM until 1 PM.
Three best poster presentations will be awarded.

Badges
All registered participants are going to be presented with Congress Badges that will allow them to
attend the presentations during the congress.

ARSW awards
Awards will be given for the three best poster presentations and for the two best oral presentations.
Evaluation criteria are originality of research, level of information and layout of the poster.
