Communication
Plans
All student language should be appropriate for the learning context. Students
are expected to follow the communication rules outlined in the syllabus and
taught at the beginning of the semester. Students are expected to participate in
weekly discussion posts making one original post and responding to 3 peers.
Each student will complete the designated work for each week. Modules will

Module
Objective(s)
See A1 & A2
Winslett (2014)
Teach students what the Law of Sine is and show them how different triangles can be
made depending on the information given in a particular problem.
See A2 A3 C1 C2 &
C5
Description of
Learning
Activities
Students will watch several videos in order to aid in their understanding of the material.
Students may also participate in an online synchronous session to have questions
answered mid-week of the module. Student will have to describe the solving process of a
problem and defend it to the class through the discussion post.
See A2 A3 B3 B4 &
B10
Formative
Evaluation &
Feedback
Students will complete practice problems online and turn them in by Thursday to receive
feedback before they take their quizzes by Sunday night
See A3 C1 C3 & C5
Physical
Learning
Materials
Video on what the Law of Sine is, Video on how many triangles can be made, video on
how to determine how many triangles can be made and the rules to determine them, and a
video in how to solve the law of sine for 1 triangle problems. There will be a practice
problems for students online to be completed, a quiz to assess understanding, and a
discussion post in which they must write out how they solved a particular problem and
defend why they did it that way.

Objects
Learn how to complete and turn in math problems online, learn from videos, search for
extra material they may need, and have intellectual discussion online
Plans for
Differentiation
Student may attend a synchronous session for extra help for a different explanation on
Wednesdays. This will allow students to receive more help and get their personal
questions answered.
