1. Drawings of cell morphology

Some students did not properly label and provide title for the drawings (name of cell lines)

Based on the given pre-stained slide for microscopic observation, its stain should enable you to
differentiate some basic cellular compartments or organelles, which should be labeled in the
drawings.
2. Data processing

calculations involved in unit conversion did not done well, such as conversion of mm m, 104
cells /ml 106cells /ml

some students did not report the data in proper unit, such as for diameter of cell in mm rather
than m
3. Discussions

some students did not mention some necessary points that normally require in all lab report, such
as source of experimental error

Experiment 1 has demonstration on different types of microscope. Its basic information, such as
type and specific use, should be included.

students normally write a lot of information in the Discussion. The first report has revealed the
deficiency in logicality of report writing. Regardless this information is relevant or not, you
should present all information in logical sequence: To correlate the relevant explanation to
relevant observation / data. This would be a common and basic requirement for all lab report of
upcoming experiments.
