European nation of interest to you and complete the items below thoughtfully and completely.

1. To what extent was this country ruled by others? Use evidence to support your answer.
- Turkey is under what is known as Lonely Command and there are no serious threats to
Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is the prime minister. It used to be part of the Ottoman Empire.
2. Which 20th century events had the greatest influence on this country? Choose two events
and explain their impact.
- 1928 Turkey became its own state. This gave it a sort of newfound independence.
- 1934 Women became able to vote. This shows the growth of equal rights.

- The US has more equal rights. Men have more Power in Turkey.

- They dont like Americans.
- They will most likely be against your religion.

- The standard of living in Turkey is Decent but growing and improving.

- The Turkish economy is a strong one. With the growth and projects it is improving. They
maintain a conservative economy.
