Odyssey Trading Cards

ASSIGNMENT: Choose a character from Greek mythology that you would like
to know more about. For this character, you will create a trading card
containing basic stats, a picture, genealogy, and any information that you
find interesting. This card will be displayed in the classroom.
WHERE TO BEGIN:
1. Choose a god, goddess, titan, or creature from Greek mythology.
Wikipedia is a good place to start your research.
2. Make a list of your top 3 choices.
3. Sign up for your character. Only one student will be allowed each
character, so if you feel really strongly about someone or something,
get your choices in as soon as possible.

You MUST include the following on the card: a picture, their name
(Greek and Roman), their domain, and their genealogy (who they are related
to). The card should also include any facts that you find interesting. For
example, you may want to include a significant act that they committed, if
they have any famous demigod children, or if they have a feud with any
other god, etc. You should include at least 2 interesting facts about
your chosen character.
After you have gathered all of your information, create a well-organized,
note-card sized trading card (approximately 3x5 inches) containing the
required information and the 2 fun facts listed above.
You may use an actual notecard for this project. You may also create it on the
computer or on construction paper. Be as creative as possible! You may use
the front and the back of the card, as long as the required information is
present (preferably on the front so it is easily displayed). Just make sure that
the card is of the appropriate size and that you have a hard copy to turn in
on the due date.
