Objectives:
Beginner level students become familiar with:
1.Present continuous form and, meaning in time.
2. To use ing properly at the end of verbs to indicate present
Continuous form.

Anticipated problems for Teacher:


1. Students may not understand the present continuous concept easily.
Solution: Teacher will present through a power point presentation. The teacher
will make the students actively read the examples out loud with the Teacher to
ensure that students understand.
Anticipated problems for Students:
1. Students may be confused about adding an ing ending to words.
Solution: Teacher will make sure that students know that only verbs can be
combined with an ing ending to formulate a present continuous form.

T will inform the Ss that they will be playing a game called Charades. T will instruct the Ss to guess what hes doing
through a series of mimicking actions.

T will present the concept in a PowerPoint presentation.


T will explain the definition of present continuous and show examples to create familiarity with the concept.
T will then point to the slide with the chart and encourage Ss read the chart aloud with the T.

T will give each group a bag full of words. T will explain the instructions of the activity as the following:

Ss will have two minutes to open their bags and arrange their word cut outs into sentences which have to be in the present
continuous form. The students will then read their sentences aloud to the class while T provides positive feedback.
