device . Students can work together to prof read each other papers , and drop their corrections in
each others drop box. Teachers could also provide corrections to a students papers after they
have graded the assignment.
(Interactive White boards )
Teaching students how to use interactive whiteboards makes a classroom more engaging .
Interactive white boards are either soft or hard boards that can be blue-toothed to a lap top or
connected to a laptop with an USB chord. The teacher can ask a student to present his or project
on the whiteboard . The whiteboard will allow the students to engage with the entire classroom
while presenting their projects . Teachers can also use the whiteboard to show different problems
and ask students to solve them independently or work as a group to solve them .Teachers keeping
the students focused and engaged with the whiteboard ensure that students are taking in the
lesson that is being presented.(Learning Interactive,2009)
Pros and Cons of using Technology to Facilitate Learning
Teachers can use technology to describe many different types of lessons . Teachers have
many different avenue's to provide students with an engaging lesson plans , but technology must
be used in the appropriate moments . Teachers have to remember not to completely replace
physical interaction with technology . Teachers could become reliant on technology , if the
technology is not working teachers need to be able to provide an alternative lesson for the day .
Technology can provide stimulation and provide different ways for students to learn
about other countries . Using technology can make students more independent, or a teacher can
make them self help videos for the students who don't grasp all of the lesson when its taught in
classroom( Provenzo, E. F., 1999 ).
Wired and Wireless Classrooms (100-200 words)
Wired classrooms are classrooms that have a hard line connection these class rooms are
able to get online and use printers just like wireless classrooms . When you have a wireless
connection its less likely that students will be disconnected from the sources they are using .
Classrooms that are wireless are more convenient , than classrooms that are wired . Computers
with Bluetooth technology are able to connect with other devices . Bluetooth technology is faster
but is not always reliable sometimes it takes a few tries before things are uploaded . It may also
take a while for the Bluetooth to sync with a device. Bluetooth allows multiple devices to stream
and also always multiple devices to print to the same printer . (Shelly, Cashman, 2004, )
Conclusion
Technology has advanced there are many different types of technology that can used to
provide students with alternative lesson plans .Teachers integrating technology into their lesson
plans are providing students with the knowledge they will need in the future . Teachers can use
any form of technology and provide students with a engaging lesson plan . Technology comes in
many different variations some of the schools will be wireless and some them will not but
students can take the opportunity to use either version its important for students to have
knowledge about both systems .
